Storm Damage Insurance Process
We advocate for you.
Auben can handle the entire insurance process, from the first call to the final inspection. We offer this service to make the process easier for you and to ensure get a fair settlement. We’ll even examine your home with the insurance adjuster to catch any damage that has been overlooked. You’ll be kept informed at every step and in control of the money.
1. Call Auben immediately after the storm. We’ll contact the insurance company with you to save time. You’ll get a claim number and the adjuster will call within 24–48 hours to schedule an inspection. We’ll meet the adjuster at your home to assess the damage together, as we often discover damage the adjusters overlook.
Within 5 days of the inspection, your insurance company will send you the Scope of Loss document for the damage and your first check.
Mortgage process
Option 1: If Auben works with the mortgage company, your checks come faster, the job gets done sooner and we take the stress off of you.
Option 2: If you choose to work with your mortgage company, you handle the paperwork, the process takes longer and the job starts later.

Once the work is completed, Auben will send the final invoice to your insurance company. They’ll review it and send your second check for all depreciation and any approved overhead and profit.
Endorse the second check and we’ll send it to your mortgage company. Their inspector will confirm the work was done and release the check back to you.
